David Lance Arneson (Oct. 1, 1997 - April 7, 2009), co-creator of the original Dungeons & Dragons role-playing game, passed away on Tuesday, April 7 at the age of 61. The original Dungeons & Dragons RPGs gave me some of my first glimpses of fantasy creatures and environments, and helped inspire me to create my own art in the gaming industry. I owe my art career to people like Dave Arneson. He will be missed.
